The Hatteras Island Tote is built for the toughest environments. Inspired by the heavy-duty bags once used to haul coal and ice on transport barges, this American-made canvas and Cordura tote combines heritage durability with modern performance materials.
Rooted in working heritage: Heavy totes evolved from bags designed to withstand the demanding conditions of barge transport and dock work.
Constructed from extra-heavy 22oz cotton duck canvas with a water-repellent 1000 denier Cordura nylon bottom, this tote stands up to serious use. The Cordura bottom and handle trim provide exceptional abrasion resistance and weather protection, while the heavyweight canvas body delivers the structure and capacity needed for heavy loads.
Whether you're hauling gear to the boat, carrying tools to a job site, transporting camping equipment, or managing heavy mail runs, the Hatteras Island Tote is engineered to perform in harsh conditions season after season. Heavy cotton webbing handles with Cordura trim ensure comfortable carrying even when fully loaded.

Caring for Canvas & Cordura® Nylon
- Spot clean canvas body with mild soap and damp cloth
- Wipe Cordura® bottom clean with damp cloth as needed
- For deeper cleaning, hand wash in cold water with mild detergent
- Air dry completely before storage
- Do not machine dry or dry clean
- Cordura® bottom is water-repellent but not waterproof
- Store in a cool, dry place when not in use
- Canvas will soften and develop character with use

Every Parrott Canvas product is handcrafted in our own facility in Greenville, North Carolina, where we have been building to the same standard since 1982.
