The Carpenter's Bag is a working tote with deep roots in American trade. Inspired by the personal tool bags that carpenters carried to the job site, it's built to the same standard — tough enough for the tradesman, versatile enough for the boater, the outdoor enthusiast, or anyone who needs a bag that can take a beating and look better for it.

The body is cut from 18oz vintage wax cotton duck — Original Martexin™ Wax Canvas — stitched with heavy nylon thread and reinforced with authentic copper rivets at every stress point. The rivets will tarnish green with age, a natural patina that deepens the character of the bag over time. A removable, covered board gives the bottom structure and keeps your gear organized and upright. Slip side pockets on each end, also riveted, keep frequently used tools or small items within easy reach.

This is a bag built to be used hard, carried daily, and handed down. Made in the USA.

Caring for Martexin™ Original Wax Duck Canvas

  • Do not machine wash or dry clean — this will damage the wax finish
  • Wax fabrics have been used successfully for many years without washing
  • A periodic wipe-down with a hose and damp cloth is all that's needed
  • Treat the wax canvas as you would a quality leather product — clean gently, never submerge
  • Allow to air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight
  • Re-wax periodically with a quality canvas wax to maintain water resistance
The copper rivets will naturally tarnish green with age and use — this patina is a sign of authentic hardware and adds to the character of the bag. Embrace it.
